Context

GASK Youth was a campaign prepared by Arts Management students at the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) for the Central Bohemian Gallery (GASK) in Kutná Hora. It aimed to draw 16–26-year-olds to the gallery, liven up its social media and culminate in an escape game held right in the gallery.

Brief

The students asked me to design a logo for the campaign. For their next meeting they needed several variants for the whole team to choose from.

GASK Youth – varianta Hravě a jednoduše
GASK Youth – varianta Hravě a jednoduše
GASK Youth – varianta Výrazně a dynamicky

Concept

Playful and simple: the logo uses a chat bubble and a playful split of the letters YOUTH (TY/VY – the Czech informal and formal “you”) to feel friendly and speak the language of a young audience. Bold and dynamic: strong shapes and a subtle narrowing of the letters give the logo energy and a straightforward character. The palette is built on black, white and light purple.

Outcome

The students chose a logo from the variants. The GASK Youth campaign itself, however, never went ahead.
